OBS camp is great.....
23march-27march 2009
5day i miss school and the sportfest....I really want to win soccer for my class but to bad i have OBS.I heard from my friend that my class did not win.I have to write a composition about OBS and give it to teacher as he want it.....I am proud to complete OBS....
STORY ABOUT OBS FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Monday
First day when i were inside the ferry to pulau ubin i was so dizy.When i came to the place first thing that come to my mind is that it will not be fun.When time when on it started to make me happy and enjoy the camp.Our school were seperated in two group Gandhi and Rajarathnam.I was in the Rajarathnam and our instructor is Tracy she is very good to me and also a very straight forward instructor.When we reach she introduce the place at OBS to make us familiar.We went to our store and play game which need teamwork.It was really fun.I and Cody be the food ic.I choose to be food ic as i can take some of the food and hide it but i did not do it as I learn that honesty is the best policy.The first day I learn a lot of thing.We need to pack thing in another bag as we will be going out tomorrow.We also learn how to pitch a tent and it was easy for me as i know how to pitch.At night we cook our own food.Our group were given a big basket of food for us to eat for the 5days.
Tuesday
Second day we pack thing that have not been packed and ready to set off to camp 2.Our bag is damn heavy it is like carrying 1-2 person.We were suppose to walk to the camp 2 and it was just a trial for us and all of us complainning that it is heavy.When we reach we put down our bag and get ready to go kayaking.We were suppose to cap-side ourself,it was really fun.After kayaking we when back up and bath,pitch tent and eat dinner.At night the instructor talk to us and say what will happen tomorrow and it will be our expedition.Gandhi and my group will combine only for tomorrow.Tomorrow we will be kayaking for 5-6 hours till we reach our destination.They give us map to find our way.The instructor ask we to choose 1 navigator,1 lastmen,1 left and 1 right.We well be forming a diamond shape went we kayak the next day.I did not aspect them to choose me to become the left side leader.I want to be the lastmen but wei hao want it so i give up the place and take the left side.
Wednesday
Third day we wake up in the morning and unpitch the tent but some of them did not help instead they went to bath or pack their bag before setting off to the next destination.We were supposed to meet at 6.45 but was delayed to 7 something because of something.We carry our thing and put it in the ferry.We bring down our kayak and ready to set off.All of them will have three person in the tria-yak accept me there will be two.We are ready to set off and went we go.Whe we reach the destination we carry our bag and the tria-yak up.We only take a few minute rest at some place before continuing.After carrying bag and tria-yak up,we eat our lunch and pitch the tent.At night we will be cooking our own meal.The instructor gather us gandhi one side and rajaranthnam one side.We will be going hiking and the instructor ask we to choose a few navigator and they straight away say my name first i was shocked,i thought they do not trust me but they do trust.We were given a map and find our way to the campus 1.
Thursday
Fourth day,w e wake up at 5.30a.m and i were damn tired.Never bath just brush teeth and unpitch the tent,eat breakfast and ready to set off.It will take us 5-6hours if hiking on the way we were supposed to find some of the clue.We delayed again the time to 7 something after talking and she ask we to write something.We set off at 8 something.Our bag were damn heavy,we need to help each other and push each other by giving encouraging word.We need to endure.When reach back at camp 1 we eat our lunch put our bag and get ready to do rock climbing.The rock climbing was really fun even when i tired i still did touch the top.The instructor ask me try the another rock climbing that was difficult and challenging.I only need a few step but the rock for me to hold is to small and i have to give up.At night we cook our own dinner.Tomorrow we will be going back home.Time fly very fast.
Friday
Fifth day,we arrange all the thing we use properly,some of the thing has is missing and we need to pay for it.I don`t know how much all the thing missing was but it was expensive after divide by the group,i only pay $2 if not wrong.Pack our own bag and ready to go back.Before that buy souviener,eat lunch and ready to go back home.My heart sometime fell like going home but somtime fell like staying there and continue the camp.
Overall
The camp was fun.The instructor talk until I want to cry.She does talk sense to all of us..She make us realise that we can`t do thing without a help from people.It need two hand to clap.My instructor Tracy inspire me to be come a good person.Monday or Tuesday night she talk to me personally when the other`s went to tent to sleep,she talk to me about what thing not right and ask me to help them as I know a lot of thing example pitch tent,give idea and many more.I will always remember her although I cannot meet her but i can see the picture of her and the rest of our group taken together.This is the first time I enjoy the camp.OBS is fun and exciting u guyz must go.It develop strong character values,mental,resilience,teamwork and leadership.I also miss my friend in th Rajarathnam,we laugh together,have fun together and sad together.
